Massive joy emerges within Manchester City’s fan base as Stefan Ortega has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him at Manchester City until the end of the 2025/26 season, ending any chance of a move back to Germany this summer.
The 31-year-old played a pivotal part in last season’s fourth successive Premier League title, filling in for the injured Ederson on a number of occasions and making a vital save in the penultimate game against Tottenham Hotspur.
He also started a second successive FA Cup final but made a mistake which allowed Manchester United to take the lead.
